Subscription Requirements

The following conditions must be met to subscribe to the LYPay service.

You must be registered in the National Alias Directory (NAD) through your commercial bank. To complete the registration, your information must be accurate and complete at the commercial bank, including your national ID number and a phone number linked to that ID.

You must have an account number in IBAN format.

Your bank must be one of the banks participating in the service.

National Alias Directory

There are two ways to register in the National Alias Directory. For both methods, your information must be up to date with your commercial bank, including your national ID number, phone number (linked to the national ID), and passport number (required only for the second method).

First Method

Using your commercial bank’s application, log in and perform a transfer to any account at any other bank. By agreeing to the terms and conditions, your data will be matched against national databases. If the data matches, you will be registered. To confirm the registration, you will receive a confirmation message on your phone.

Second Method (for individuals only)

Through the Foreign Currency System for Personal Purposes of the Central Bank of Libya fcms.cbl.gov.ly After verifying your account, you can request registration in the National Directory of Aliases. You can also check the registration status of your accounts in the National Directory of Aliases via the system.
